Three PRR-funded bioeconomy projects present results for textiles, footwear and natural resin
Three Portuguese bioeconomy projects financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan, together worth about €200 million, present their results on 10 November at the University of Aveiro. be@t covers textiles and clothing, BioShoes4All footwear and RN21 natural resin. Each brought together companies, universities and technology centres to cut reliance on fossil-based raw materials and build new value chains. They report 98 new textile products, over 200 footwear results and 20 resin-based bioproducts. The promoters say the next challenge is moving from research to industrial production and new markets. A touring exhibition will also visit Portuguese cities.
