ZERO launches tracker for Lisbon airport's night flights

Environmental group ZERO has launched an online platform, using Flightradar24 data, to monitor night-time flights at Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport. It says that 536 days after the government announced a ban on flights between 1am and 5am, in March 2025, the measure still has not taken effect. Data since early 2026 show 4,647 movements between midnight and 6am, with weekly and nightly legal limits exceeded on most occasions, peaking in August. ZERO is demanding clarity from aviation regulator ANAC on exemptions, a binding timetable for the ban, and opposes any increase in the airport's hourly capacity without an environmental impact assessment.
