Pedro Prata

Pedro Prata is Director of Rewilding Portugal, leading efforts to restore ecosystems across the Côa river basin. With an MSc in ecology and evolution from the University of Amsterdam, he brings international experience from coral reef research in Curaçao and conservation work in Brazil and the United States. He champions rewilding as a strategy to address land abandonment in Portugal's interior, building on the innovative Faia Brava project.
