Topicswater supply and distribution

Águas Públicas do Alentejo has published a public tender for €5.9 million of works to create a new water supply subsystem around São Teotónio, in the municipality of Odemira. The contract covers new pipelines, reservoirs, pumping stations and the electrical and remote-management equipment, to be built over 630 days in the parishes of São Teotónio and Boavista dos Pinheiros. The new network will link the São Teotónio treatment plant to existing systems serving Boavista dos Pinheiros-Odemira, Fataca, Zambujeira do Mar and Brejão, and strengthen connections within the Santa Clara system. About 16,000 residents are expected to benefit from a more reliable and resilient supply.
