Alqueva Sustentável to hold open day at Serpa farm on 27th

Topicsagricultural innovation and generational renewal

The Alqueva Sustentável project will hold an open day on the 27th of this month at Casa Agrícola Tavares de Almeida, a farm in Serpa, in the Beja district. The Alqueva development and infrastructure company, EDIA, announced the event. It will look at farm diversity and how varying production systems can make holdings more sustainable and resilient. EDIA says growing different crops and combining activities spreads risk, lessening reliance on a single crop and exposure to price swings, changing weather conditions, and pests and diseases.
