Alto Minho water utility launches tender for solar self-consumption plants

Águas do Alto Minho (AdAM) has opened a public tender worth around 374,000 euros to build photovoltaic plants for self-consumption in seven of the ten municipalities it serves: Arcos de Valdevez, Caminha, Paredes de Coura, Ponte de Lima, Valença, Viana do Castelo and Vila Nova de Cerveira. The contract allows 270 days for execution, with proposals accepted until 6 October. AdAM, based in Viana do Castelo and operating since January 2020, is 51% owned by Águas de Portugal and 49% by the participating municipalities. It supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for tens of thousands of customers across a 1,585 km² area.
