GreenYellow completes 18 solar plants for Jerónimo Martins group

GreenYellow has finished installing 18 rooftop solar plants for self-consumption at Pingo Doce and Recheio stores and a Luís Vicente unit, under a 15-year on-site power purchase agreement. The plants, spread across locations from Albufeira to Vilar do Pinheiro, total 8 MWp and are expected to generate 11.6 GWh a year, enough to supply over 3,860 households. GreenYellow says this will avoid more than 1,230 tonnes of CO2 annually while cutting Jerónimo Martins' exposure to fossil fuel costs and price volatility, supporting the retailer's decarbonisation strategy.
