Aveiro to host round table marking Clean Air Day 2026

The University of Aveiro and the Portuguese Environment Agency will hold a round table on air quality on 7 September 2026 at Aveiro's Fábrica Centro Ciência Viva, marking the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies. Prompted by the new EU Air Quality Directive, the event will gather researchers, public bodies and businesses to discuss emission targets, gaps in scientific knowledge and joint responses to climate challenges. Panels will cover agriculture's impact on air quality, new pollutants and non-exhaust mobility emissions, featuring speakers from institutions including INIAV, The Navigator Company and the ZERO association. Entry is free and open to adults.
