Beach litter turned into art exhibition in Porto Covo

Photographer Nuno Antunes has created "Waste 2 Arte", an exhibition of 18 large-scale photographic works made from wood, buoys, nets and other debris collected from beaches on the Vicentina Coast. It opens at the Casas da Ilha Cultural and Regenerative Park in Porto Covo, Sines, as part of the World Music Festival's parallel programme starting 17 July, with free visits over that weekend. The show, supported by Sines municipality and approved by the ICNF, can then be visited daily until 19 September, from 4pm until sunset, aiming to highlight ongoing pollution of the region's beaches.
