New cultural park in Porto Covo links art to land regeneration

A new Parque Cultural e Regenerativo has opened on a roughly 30-hectare property in Fonte de Mouro, Porto Covo, within the Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina Natural Park. Backed by ICNF and Sines council, it aims to use art and cultural events to engage the community and support ecosystem restoration alongside biodiversity conservation. Its inaugural exhibition, Waste 2 Arte by photographer Nuno Antunes, turns beach litter collected during plogging actions into fine art photography. The exhibition runs until 19 September, free entry, from 4pm until sunset.
