The Association of Young Farmers of Portugal (AJAP), backed by Torres Vedras town council, has rescheduled its meeting from 29 October to 17 November. It starts at 9.30am at the Fernando Barros Leal agricultural vocational school. Three panels will cover the challenges facing new farmers, including access to funding, vocational agricultural schools, and marketing of produce, with speakers from public bodies, schools and the sector. The aim is to find ways of renewing the farming workforce and keeping a new generation in rural areas. Places are limited, and registration is required by 13 November.
