Macedo de Cavaleiros hosts first Trás-os-Montes young farmers' meeting on 23 October

Macedo de Cavaleiros will host the first meeting of young farmers from Trás-os-Montes on Friday, 23 October, at its Cultural Centre, organised by the municipality and the young farmers' association AJAP. The town was chosen because it had the most approved young-farmer installation applications in the region in 2024 and 2025, with 69 projects. Farmers, public bodies and sector organisations will discuss access to land, land consolidation, marketing of produce, irrigation and generational renewal. The opening session is scheduled for 11:00, with technical visits in the morning and a tasting of local products at the end.
