Funchal to host European Mobility Week from 16 September

Funchal City Council will run the European Mobility Week from 16 to 22 September, under the slogan 'Combina e Move-te!'. The 2026 theme, 'Mobility for all – Intergenerational justice', focuses on ensuring people of all ages can access sustainable, safe and inclusive transport and public spaces. The programme includes activities for children and young people, initiatives promoting road safety, active mobility and sport, and debates on the future of urban mobility in Funchal, aiming to raise awareness about how residents move around and use public space.
