Tavira community garden hosts free second Festa na Horta on 22 November

The Amendoeira Community Garden at Tavira's agricultural experimentation centre will host the second Festa na Horta on 22 November, from 09:00 to 18:00, with free entry. Organised by the Ecotopia Activa association as part of the municipal Equinócios 2026 programme, it aims to bring people closer to community gardens and promote sustainable farming, biodiversity and healthy eating. The day includes a guided tour of the fruit collections, a children's music workshop, solar cooking and biofertiliser workshops, a communal picnic, a vegetable competition, live accordion music and a seed swap. Most activities require advance registration; the competition needs sign-up by midnight on 21 November.
