Loulé launches guide to attract natural capital investment
The Loulé municipal council and NBI – Natural Business Intelligence have launched a Natural Capital Investment Guide aimed at connecting investors, companies, landowners and public bodies with conservation and sustainable land-use projects. The guide maps seven priority zones, called Nature Investment Hubs, including Rocha da Pena, Fonte Benémola and Nave do Barão, highlighting opportunities in ecological restoration, regenerative agriculture, forestry, nature tourism and carbon and biodiversity credit markets. With about 64% of its territory under protected status, Loulé is presented as well-placed to attract nature-related investment. The document also outlines available national and European financing mechanisms.
