Paredes adds 30 new used cooking oil collection bins across its parishes
The municipality of Paredes has expanded its network of household used cooking oil collection bins, installing 30 new ones across the parishes since September. The aim is to bring collection points closer to residents and make recycling easier. Residents let the oil cool, pour it into a tightly closed plastic bottle and drop it in a bin. From there the company EcoMovimento takes over and sends the waste for recovery. Badly discarded cooking oil can seriously harm the environment, and the recovered oil is meant to be turned into energy solutions, contributing to the circular economy.
