Podcast explores circular economy as route to farm digitalisation

A new episode of the Agricultar podcast, part of the Laboratório Vivo da Agricultura 4.1 platform, discussed how a circular economy model could widen access to digital farming tools. Miguel de Castro Neto (Nova IMS) and Firmino Cordeiro (AJAP) argued that using technology as a service, rather than owning it, could help small and medium-sized farmers adopt precision agriculture and generative AI. They also flagged the growing volume of scattered farm data and the need for curated, quality content. The platform, aimed at young farmers and rural entrepreneurs, is backed by COMPETE2030 funding and the EU.
