Portugal and Spain to hold webinar on smart waste-sorting technology

LIPOR, Sogama, the University of A Coruña and the University of Beira Interior are organising a webinar on 9 July to present lessons learned from the GRESINT project, which applies digital technologies and artificial intelligence to waste classification. Speakers will cover data governance, AI-based waste characterisation and digital transformation examples from tech companies. The free event, open to waste managers, municipal technicians and researchers from Portugal and Spain, aims to foster collaboration on digital solutions for waste management. GRESINT, funded under the Interreg Spain-Portugal programme, runs until 2026.
