Portugal's ECOTROPHELIA food innovation final set for 3 July

PortugalFoods will announce the winner of the 10th ECOTROPHELIA Portugal award on 3 July, choosing among eight university teams competing with sustainable food innovations. A multidisciplinary jury will judge products on taste, texture, market viability and design, alongside their ecological credentials. The winning team advances to ECOTROPHELIA Europe in Paris in October, plus receives business, design and communication support. Other awards recognise nutritional quality, entrepreneurial potential and business spirit. This year drew 21 applications from 80 students across 11 institutions, narrowed to eight finalists presenting fillings, spreads, beverages, snacks and a sauce.
