Second wind turbine blade transported to Paul da Serra

A special operation to transport a second wind turbine blade from Ribeira Brava to Paul da Serra, in Madeira, was completed successfully on Sunday, according to ENEREEM, part of the Grupo Eletricidade da Madeira. Traffic was restricted along the VE3 and Regional Roads 210 and 105 from around 3am until 5pm, with the departure brought forward to reduce disruption. Further blades still need to be transported to the Paul da Serra wind farms, where the turbine towers will be assembled. Dates for future transports will be announced in advance so residents can plan alternative routes.
