The Tougues parish council, in Vila do Conde, has postponed a public briefing on a planned biomethane production plant, citing expected high turnout and insufficient logistical conditions to hold it properly. The Vila do Conde municipal council confirmed it approved a preliminary urban viability request, but clarified this does not amount to licensing the biomethane activity, which still requires approval from other competent authorities.
