Western Algarve plans a second November of free landscape restoration events

Topicsecosystem restoration

A second Month of Regeneration will run across the western Algarve this November, offering free, hands-on activities such as tree planting, agroforestry, water retention work, assisted natural regeneration and guided nature walks. Events are spread over projects near Odiáxere, Pedralva, Barão de São João, Rogil, Burgau, Bensafrim and Aljezur. The first edition, in November 2025, drew 320 participants to 10 projects and logged over 750 volunteer hours and more than 1,500 trees and perennial plants. Most activities need no experience, but advance registration is required for each one.
