K-Evolution

K-Evolution (KE) is a non-profit association in Setúbal that co-creates educational projects and community transformation initiatives with municipalities, schools, companies and other networks. It was founded in May 2013, and its main objective is to promote sustainable development through education. The aim is to develop agents of change among children, young people, teachers, executives and parents. Since 2019, KE has been part of the UNESCO Clubs Network as the UNESCO K-Evolution Club: Education for Sustainability. Its work is organised around three pillars: personal development, active citizenship and sustainable entrepreneurship. It is guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Paris Agreement and the European Green Deal. Its activities include the “Nourish Your Nature” (“Nutre a Tua Natureza”) programme, with nature walks, workshops that connect people with the natural world, and community garden projects such as “Mãos na Terra”, developed with local partners in Setúbal and Palmela. The association also runs FAAZ (“Environmental Tools from A to Z”), which promotes ecological practices in communities. FAAZ is run in partnership with ICE and Flor de Murta, as part of the No Planet B programme co-financed by the EU. Through these initiatives, KE encourages a sense of belonging and collaboration. It builds multi- and transdisciplinary teams to design replicable, lasting solutions for education and sustainability. An active base of volunteers and general assembly members keeps its programmes and community outreach going across the Setúbal region.
