Quinta Lamosa is an eco-tourism and rural tourism destination located in Gondoriz, Arcos de Valdevez, in northern Portugal, close to the village of Sistelo (known as the 'Little Portuguese Tibet') and the Peneda-Gerês National Park. Set within a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, the property offers a range of accommodation options including tree houses, pet-friendly bungalows and traditional stone houses, all designed with comfort and a strong connection to nature in mind, some with private pools. The estate sits just metres from the Ecovia do Vez boardwalks, giving guests direct access to river landscapes, hiking trails, and outdoor activities such as canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding on the River Vez, horseback riding, cycling, and walking sections of the Caminho Minhoto-Ribeiro pilgrim route towards Santiago de Compostela. The surrounding region also offers agro-tourism experiences that showcase traditional rural life. Quinta Lamosa positions itself as a peaceful retreat suited to romantic getaways, family holidays or quiet time with friends, welcoming pets as part of its philosophy that nature should be accessible to everyone. The property also offers co-living and co-working spaces for guests seeking longer stays combined with remote work. Amenities include an outdoor pool, free parking, fast Wi-Fi, family rooms, air conditioning, kitchen facilities, balconies/terraces, barbecue amenities, a garden, grocery delivery and an electric vehicle charging point. The project has been recognised with awards including the Five Star Regions Prize and a Travel & Hospitality Award in 2022, reflecting its commitment to quality rural and eco-tourism hospitality in one of Portugal's most protected natural areas.
