Sobrenatura Ecoturismo

Sobrenatura Ecoturismo is a family project born from a dream of creating a welcoming, sustainable refuge in deep harmony with nature and the identity of Minho, northern Portugal. It began with the construction of Casas de Além, two wooden houses that marked the start of the journey, and later grew into the Sobrenatura houses — newly built from scratch with more contemporary lines, but always with the same care, sensitivity and respect for the place. Located at the entrance of the Peneda-Gerês National Park in Arcos de Valdevez, with views over the Serra Amarela and the Lima reservoir, the project comprises four distinct houses: Casa da Cortiça, Casa da Eira, Casa da Ramada and Casa do Lagar. Each house was carefully designed with sustainable solutions, local materials and architecture that respects the surrounding landscape, offering guests comfort without compromising the planet. Accessibility is a core value: the team has been adapting and building spaces to ensure greater accessibility for people with reduced mobility, so that every guest feels truly welcome. Life at Sobrenatura follows the rhythm of nature, with outdoor meals, river swims, sensory-awakening trails and star-filled nights, whether for a couple's getaway, a family holiday or a trip among friends. Guided by the belief that the future of tourism lies in a respectful relationship between people and nature, Sobrenatura Ecoturismo aims to be socially responsible, sustainable, inclusive and thoughtfully designed — more than hosting guests, the project seeks to welcome people.
