Repair Café Algarve

Repair Café Algarve is a project created and organized by Associação Benfazer. Its team of repairers participate in events throughout the Algarve where they provide free repair sessions and educational moments for the community. They also organize a two-day event focused on Repair, Circular Economy, and Sustainable Living - Feira Repair Algarve.
Currently the Repair Café Algarve team is active in two events:
- Feira Repair Algarve: a two-day fair in Loulé dedicated to repairing objects, systems and habits. It combines repair sessions with a circular market, vegan food, and talks on sustainable consumption (March).
- FAVA: Portugal's biggest vegan and sustainable festival (September).
Repair Café Algarve positions itself within a wider movement to extend the life of everyday objects through free repair services, rather than treating breakage as a reason to buy new. The 2027 sessions will continue this format with calls for hosts, volunteers and speakers ahead of the events.
Our Goal
Repair Café Algarve participates in events where visitors can bring broken objects to be fixed instead of thrown away, promoting repair and the circular economy.
Our Wishes
The team seeks volunteer repair experts, workshop hosts and partners to take part in upcoming editions.
