Circular Economy Portugal
Circular Economy Portugal is a non-profit association that promotes the transition to a circular economy in Portugal through capacity-buildi…
Circular Economy Portugal promotes repair and reuse so products stay in use for longer. Tool libraries, repair cafés and shared workshops turn that principle into a practical local service.
Tools sit idle and broken appliances are often discarded because nobody nearby can repair them. Tool libraries and repair cafés attack both problems with the same answer: shared equipment and someone who knows how.
Circular Economy Portugal is the organisation working on this from Lisbon, promoting repair and reuse culture as part of a wider circular economy agenda. Elsewhere the model can be as simple as a repair afternoon in an association.
The EU right-to-repair rules are pushing in this direction, and the model needs a room and a few volunteers more than it needs money. If you run a repair café or lending library in Portugal, we would like to list it. Related focuses: upcycling and repurposing and conscious consumption. Dated activities from these projects are listed in our events calendar.
