Vida Pura

Vida Pura is an eco-friendly and family-friendly retreat centre located within a natural reserve near the coastal town of Odeceixe and its award-winning beach, situated on the Algarve–Alentejo border in southwest Portugal. The project operates with a deep commitment to sustainability: it runs entirely on solar energy, harvests its own water, recycles waste, and cultivates food on a farm guided by biodynamic principles. Guests can choose from a variety of self-catering accommodation types, each featuring unique interior design created with natural and recycled materials, as well as a spacious guesthouse. Vida Pura serves as a flexible facility centre for external retreat organisations, accommodating groups of 10 to 18 people and offering tailor-made packages that can include transport and local activities. Weekly wellness activities, yoga sessions, and workshops are regularly organised on site. The stunning natural surroundings offer opportunities for river hikes, surfing and bodyboarding at Odeceixe Beach, and cycling to the local village. The farm is home to donkeys, dogs, cats, ducks, and chickens, lending the property an authentic rural character. Vida Pura's communitarian ethos ensures that profits are reinvested into local initiatives, including biological gardening programmes in nearby schools. Situated at Moinho das Canas, the retreat enjoys easy access to notable destinations including Aljezur, Lagos, Carrapateira, Vila Nova de Milfontes, and Monchique, making it both a tranquil base and a gateway to the rich natural and cultural heritage of the region.
