Woodlovers Villas is a sustainable holiday accommodation project located in the tranquil village of Jardim do Mar, on Madeira Island. Settled on a stunning organic green plot with sea views, cliffs, cropland, banana plantations and vineyards, the project was born from a combination of engineering, renewable energy and permaculture expertise. Its founders were pioneers in building the first contemporary Woodhouse on the island, designed to respect and blend with the natural environment. The complex is composed of three private units — one on the ground floor and two on the first level — surrounded by gardens, with shared amenities including a barbecue area, swimming pool, chill-out zone, organic garden and laundry facilities. Responding to guest feedback, the villas now offer a heated pool at 28ºC between November and April for an extra fee, extending outdoor enjoyment into the cooler seasons. Sustainability is at the core of the project's identity: the villas prioritize solar and aerothermal energy systems, use recycled and reused materials for garden furniture, and apply eco-friendly household management and cleaning practices. Recent renovations have incorporated natural lime coatings and natural materials in interior design, blending architecture with elegance while minimizing environmental impact. Woodlovers Villas is also a Business Partner of One Tree Planted, committing to plant a tree for every guest that stays, reinforcing its philosophy that a holiday here is not just a stay but a state of mind in harmony with Mother Nature.
