Benfazer

Benfazer is a non-profit association in Portugal promoting sustainable, ethical living through social justice, environmental and animal welfare initiatives. It organises FAVA, the country's largest vegan fair, held in Loulé and first launched in 2018.
Benfazer, "Associação para o Bem-Estar Social, Ambiental e Animal", is a Portuguese non-profit association built around a simple idea: a more sustainable life is also a more ethical one. Its work touches social well-being, environmental protection and animal welfare, treating the three as connected rather than separate causes.
The association's most visible project is FAVA, Portugal's largest vegan and sustainable fair, launched in 2018 and held in Loulé, Algarve, with support from the Loulé Municipality. For 7 editions now, It has been drawing exhibitors and visitors from across the country and even internationally. It's got a zero single-use plastic policy and zero fuel burning generators, these are some of the steps, taken from the start, toward lowering its environmental footprint.
Through FAVA and its other events, such as Repair Cafe Algarve and Congresso Animal, Benfazer gives space to conscious people, producers, educators and campaigners - focusing on plant-based diets, animal rights and sustainable consumption - to come together, turning the activities into meeting points for these communities in the Algarve throughout the year.
Our Goal
Benfazer works to achieve the true well-being through a harmonious balance among human beings, nature, and animals. Aiming to promote a more sustainable and ethical way of life, encouraging social justice, environmental care and animal welfare.
Our Wishes
Join the events and spread the word!
