Topicsrural development

The GAL TBG local action group has opened applications, until 21 September 2026, for grants supporting diversification, trade and services in the eastern Algarve. The call, worth €477,503.79, falls under the Common Agricultural Policy's Strategic Plan and covers Alcoutim, Castro Marim, Vila Real de Santo António and parts of Tavira. Small and medium-sized enterprises can apply for reimbursement or unit-cost support at a 60% rate for investments between €10,000 and €300,000. Selection favours young entrepreneurs, small businesses, disadvantaged areas, renewable energy use and job creation. Applicants can seek guidance from AJAP, the young farmers' association.
