Sociedade Ponto Verde launches platform for recycling R&D funding

Sociedade Ponto Verde (SPV) has launched a new digital platform to manage its programme funding research and development projects on packaging, recycling and circular economy. The scheme, open to companies, startups, universities and NGOs even outside Portugal, has already backed 69 projects with over 6 million euros. SPV says the platform simplifies and automates applications, which run continuously. Since 1996, SPV has invested 19.4 million euros in more than 120 R&D projects involving over 150 entities, as Portugal faces a 2026 target of 65% selective packaging waste collection.
