Zoomarine turns old staff uniforms into pet beds

Marking its 35th anniversary, Zoomarine Algarve has upcycled old staff uniforms into 100 beds and 75 blankets for dogs and cats. The project, run with Portuguese social innovation startup United to Remake, followed the park's recent visual identity revamp, which left the old uniforms surplus. Items were distributed to staff who signed up to receive one, with the remainder donated to the São Francisco de Assis dog shelter, which is expected to get around six to seven large beds, 28 small beds and 21 blankets.
