ATO — Associação Terras de Ourondo (Terra Divina)

At Terra Divina, its retreat centre in Ourondo, ATO (Associação Terras de Ourondo) hosts shamanic clown immersions, artistic retreats and the EIPÁ! Itinerant Clown School. The centre also has spaces called "Nave Espírito Santo" and "Portal de Luz". ATO is a cultural and social association based in Ourondo, in the Fundão and Covilhã area. It works on transdisciplinary projects that promote artistic, social and human development, across cultural, artistic, environmental and community initiatives. Through this work it wants to build a new collective consciousness and restore people's relationship with the land and territory, as a shared stage for living together and a source that feeds a community's roots. Its Instagram bio sums up the mission as "Art, Nature and Wellbeing for a Conscious Community." ATO is run as a membership association. Supporters can become official members (*sócios*) for an annual fee. Members can propose and organise events, get discounts on retreats, workshops and shows, and take part in the general assembly and the governing bodies. A production team covers artistic direction, executive production, graphic design and communication. The formal governing bodies are a board of directors, a general assembly board and a fiscal council, which together give the association an established, democratic grassroots structure. The association describes itself as a diverse, welcoming family of staff, board members, associates and volunteers who share artistic and social goals. It works across Portugal to reconnect communities with nature, with culture and with each other.
