Bosque do Pisco

Bosque do Pisco is a nature and arts space in São João do Estoril offering playgroups, family workshops, holiday programmes and holistic events within a small forest inside a quinta.
Bosque do Pisco is a nature-based learning and arts initiative located within a small forest inside a quinta in São João do Estoril, Portugal. Guided by the belief that time outdoors, contact with the earth, and genuine human connection are essential for healthy and happy growth, the project offers a wide range of activities for children, families and adults. These include weekly outdoor playgroups for home-schooling families guided by Leonor Pêgo, holiday programmes such as 'Verão Verde no Pisco', family workshops like macramé sessions, birthday parties, yoga classes for kids, art and nature sessions, and Portuguese language sessions for foreign families. The space also hosts seasonal celebrations such as the summer solstice and one-day immersive retreats for adults. Bosque do Pisco functions as a meeting point where nature, art and holistic practices intersect, fostering experiential learning and a sense of community rooted in sustainability and wellbeing. Activities are designed to encourage exploration, creativity and a slower, more mindful relationship with the natural world, appealing to families seeking alternatives to conventional indoor education and entertainment. Through its ongoing calendar of workshops, retreats, playgroups and community events, the project has built a small but active community of participants and collaborators in the Estoril area, positioning itself as a hub for eco-conscious, artistically inclined and holistically minded residents and visitors in the greater Lisbon region. Visits to the forest space can be arranged directly with the project.
Our Goal
Bosque do Pisco aims to create a nature-immersed learning environment where children, families and adults can reconnect with the earth, explore creativity through art, and grow through freedom, respect and genuine human connection.
Our Wishes
The project welcomes families interested in outdoor, nature-based education, as well as artisans, therapists and facilitators wishing to collaborate on workshops, markets and holistic events.
