Founded in January 2020, Quinta da Vida Beleza is a tranquil cob ecovillage located in Atalhada, Lagoa, on São Miguel Island in the Azores. The property is a lush, fruit-filled paradise featuring hand-built cob bungalows and shared community spaces, all offering breathtaking ocean views. A short walk from the sea, the Quinta provides a peaceful natural retreat ideal for reconnecting with the land and simple living. The ecovillage doubles as an education center, hosting natural building workshops — including advanced cob construction courses in partnership with CruzinCobGlobal — where participants learn to build community spaces from foundation to roof using traditional earthen techniques. Beyond construction, the Quinta emphasizes experiential learning, sustainable living practices, and community connection, welcoming visitors who wish to stay, volunteer, or study natural building methods firsthand. Visitors are required to contact the project in advance by phone, SMS, or email before arriving, as reservations are necessary to visit or stay at the property.
