Quinta da Zira

Quinta da Zira is a pesticide-free farm in Albufeira producing vegetables, fruits, herbs and eggs, paired with a rebuilt local accommodation offering six independent apartments.
Quinta da Zira, also known locally as Quinta do Sr. Cabrita, is a small pesticide-free farm located on Caminho do Alpouvar in Albufeira, in the Algarve region of Portugal. The property grows a variety of vegetables, fruits and aromatic herbs, and also keeps hens for egg production. The farm promotes local and seasonal produce and the use of organic seeds, contributing to more sustainable food practices in the region.
Beyond its agricultural activity, the property was rebuilt in 2020 and now offers local accommodation (Alojamento Local) consisting of six independent apartments. Each unit is equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, and a living area with television and internet access, making it a comfortable base for visitors exploring the Algarve. The combination of small-scale organic farming and tourism accommodation reflects a lifestyle centred on rural tranquillity, self-sufficiency and hospitality.
Guests staying at the property have consistently praised its calm atmosphere and the quality of service, reflected in strong ratings on booking platforms over multiple years. The setting, close to Albufeira, offers easy access to the region's beaches and attractions while providing a quieter, countryside-style experience away from the busier tourist centres.
Quinta da Zira represents a modest but meaningful example of integrating small-scale sustainable food production with rural tourism, allowing visitors to experience local agricultural life while enjoying private, self-contained lodging in a peaceful farm setting in Albufeira.
Our Goal
To combine small-scale, pesticide-free food production with peaceful rural accommodation, offering visitors a taste of local agricultural life alongside comfortable independent lodging.
