Quinta Vale da Lama is a 43-hectare regenerative organic farm near Lagos, Portugal, producing certified organic fruits and vegetables while restoring ecosystems through education, volunteering, and community engagement. The project encompasses an ecoresort, associated nonprofit organisations, and active membership in the global Ecosystem Restoration Communities network.

Quinta Vale da Lama is a 43-hectare regenerative organic farm situated in southwestern Portugal, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains of the western Algarve, near Lagos. Describing itself as a mosaic of landscapes, people, and organisations, the project works collaboratively to connect everyone with nature's bounties while enhancing the local ecosystem ecologically, economically, and socially. The farm produces certified organic fruits and vegetables available for purchase at several locations around Lagos. At its core, it applies regenerative agriculture and ecosystem restoration methodologies to improve soil quality, water availability, biodiversity, and local livelihoods. On-site, Casa Vale da Lama serves as an ecoresort offering guests a harmonious connection with nature. The project encompasses several associated organisations: Novas Descobertas, an education-focused nonprofit delivering nature-connected experiences; and the Mud Valley Foundation, a regenerative action-focused nonprofit working to reduce desertification in the local ecosystem. Quinta Vale da Lama is also a proud member of ERC.earth (Ecosystem Restoration Communities), a global network of 60 regeneration hubs pursuing diverse restoration initiatives to rehabilitate degraded lands. Community engagement is central to the farm's mission. 'Tuesdays of Regen' is a weekly volunteer programme offering hands-on experience in regenerative agriculture and ecosystem restoration every Tuesday morning. A six-month internship programme allows participants to live and learn on the farm. Educational events, such as pollinator field research experiences, invite participants to observe pollinators, learn scientific methods, and explore biodiversity in nature. By sharing its regeneration work and knowledge freely with others locally and globally, Quinta Vale da Lama stands as both a working farm and a living learning centre for sustainable and regenerative land stewardship.
