Eco Aldeia PERMALOGICA

Eco Aldeia PERMALOGICA is a family-led eco-project in Tábua, Portugal, working toward becoming a permaculture-based intentional community. It combines the lands of Quinta Cabeça do Mato and Casa da Ribeira to create a self-sustaining, off-grid eco-village.
Eco Aldeia PERMALOGICA is a permaculture-based eco-project located in Tábua, in the Portuguese countryside, born from the union of Quinta Cabeça do Mato and the lands of Casa da Ribeira. Over the years, community infrastructure has been built and numerous activities organised, gradually turning a shared dream into reality: an intentional community dedicated to living on the land in harmony with nature.
To make this vision viable and sustainable, Permalógica was established as a non-profit association. Its goals include bringing people and resources together, promoting environmental education at various levels, and establishing partnerships, all guided by the core principle of permaculture and the ethics of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share.
The project is run by a family who envisioned creating an eco-village and intentional community rooted in permaculture ethics. Their focus areas include self-sufficiency through abundant gardens producing food and medicine, planting resources for heating, transitioning off-grid (after 19 years of solar energy use, they report being around 90% self-sufficient), designing regenerative systems, and comprehensive recycling, including water systems. They aim to live lightly on the land within a clean and healthy environment, help create sustainable jobs within a human-scale, compassionate and ecological economy, raise healthy and happy children who learn from nature in a safe setting, and teach and learn life skills passed from the past into the future.
Funding comes from membership dues, possible donations, and contributions from partners who support the realisation of the project, all aimed at achieving self-sustainability without harming the planet.
Our Goal
To build an intentional community and eco-village based on permaculture ethics, uniting people and resources to promote environmental education and self-sufficiency, following the principles of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share.
Our Wishes
The project seeks partnerships, donations, and member contributions to help finance the transition toward full self-sustainability and off-grid living.
