Orgo | Regenerative Biology Management

Orgo | Regenerative Biology Management is an initiative in Castelo Branco, Portugal, committed to helping farmers move to regenerative agroecological farming. The team sees each farm's soil, plants and animals as a complex agro-ecosystem that doesn't respond to one-size-fits-all solutions, so it shapes its approach to each farm's own context. Its work rests on four pillars: - farmer-to-farmer knowledge exchange - leading by example, with successful regenerative farms supporting their neighbours - a focus on quality that improves nutrient density, flavour, yields and the resilience of the land - bringing the fun and inspiration back into farming Services include: - farmer-to-farmer coaching, in person and remotely - interpreting plant sap and microbiology analyses - recommending cover crop mixes - technical training and workshops on Adaptive Multi-Paddock (AMP) grazing, plant nutrition, composting, ferments, extracts and field-application methods Orgo also helps farms join ecosystem benefit and biodiversity credit programmes, and helps producers adapt to the new EU Common Agricultural Policy (2023–27). One of the main things that sets Orgo apart is its ecosystem monitoring. Ground-truth data from field sensors, cameras, drones and specialised soil analyses is combined with satellite imagery to measure biodiversity and soil health. Orgo turns this data into actionable, standardised reports aligned with frameworks such as CSRD and TNFD. The team also works to build collaboration and education links across society, to speed up the shift towards a more regenerative agricultural model. They believe lasting change depends on giving current and future generations the means to bring it about.
