Vale da Sarvinda is a holistic organic farm and sustainable business located in Vila Velha de Ródão, integrating biological production, renewable energy, and water management across roughly 180 hectares. Their product range includes honey, olive oil, mushrooms, aromatic herbs, mead, beer, and traditional liqueurs, available via an online store with nationwide delivery.

Vale da Sarvinda is a pioneering sustainable agriculture project formally established on 20 December 2011, with occupation of its approximately 180-hectare site in the municipality of Vila Velha de Ródão, district of Castelo Branco, beginning in May 2013. Founded by Frederico Abreu, the project operates under the ethos of biological agriculture and sustainable economy, proving that ecological responsibility and commercial viability can coexist. At its agricultural core, Vale da Sarvinda produces a diverse range of certified organic products that celebrate Portuguese rural traditions. The product line includes premium extra virgin olive oil, artisanal honey, craft mead and honey beer, mushrooms, aromatic herbs, and traditional liqueurs crafted from locally harvested fruits such as blueberries, lemons, and medronho (strawberry tree berries). These are available through an online marketplace offering direct delivery to any point in Portugal, alongside products from other regional producers. Beyond food production, the project integrates renewable energy generation and careful water resource management into its daily operations, serving as a practical model for responsible rural development. The careful stewardship of natural resources ensures long-term operational viability while minimising environmental impact. Vale da Sarvinda actively collaborates with other regional producers, strengthening the broader sustainable agriculture network and supporting local food systems. The project also opens its doors to visitors, offering educational experiences that allow people to engage directly with authentic sustainable rural practices. With a social media following of over 4,300 and an active presence on Instagram where they share seasonal updates, Vale da Sarvinda continues to inspire a wider community around the values of organic farming, circular economy, and regenerative land stewardship.
