Pela Terra is a regenerative agriculture investment fund in Portugal's Alentejo region, restoring farmland such as olive groves and almond orchards while offering investors a pathway to European residency and citizenship through the Golden Visa program.

Pela Terra is a sustainable agriculture investment platform operating in Portugal, combining regenerative farming practices with the country's Golden Visa residency-by-investment program. The fund restores degraded farmland across the Alentejo region, focusing on olive groves, almond orchards, and other sustainable farming operations that create local employment and contribute to Portugal's rural economy. Investors commit a minimum of €500,000 into a CMVM-regulated closed-end venture capital fund, which is professionally managed and deployed across diversified agricultural assets, targeting inflation-beating annual returns alongside real environmental impact. Beyond the financial and ecological dimensions, Pela Terra positions itself as a pathway to European citizenship: investors and their families (spouse, dependent children, and dependent parents) gain Portuguese residency status, requiring only minimal physical presence in the country, with eligibility for citizenship after ten years. The initiative reports over 260 American families onboarded and more than €85M in assets under management. It's worth noting that 'Pela Terra' also refers to a separate, unrelated biennial arts-and-ecology gathering held in Idanha-a-Velha (Beira Baixa), which brings together artists, musicians and communities around themes of land, ecology and cultural expression, and which has been active in opposing large-scale solar park developments in the region. This community-driven initiative operates independently from the investment fund, sharing only the name, and represents a distinct grassroots movement centered on territory, biodiversity and cultural rootedness rather than financial investment.

Our Goal

Pela Terra practises regenerative agriculture across Portugal's Alentejo region, restoring degraded farmland, improving soil health, and increasing biodiversity, while also serving as an investment vehicle offering a pathway to Portuguese/EU residency through Golden Visa-eligible agricultural funds.

Our Wishes

The project seeks investors interested in combining financial returns with support for sustainable rural development and Portugal's Golden Visa residency program.
