CATCH Permaculture

Quinta Linda, the farm run by CATCH, offers weekly subscriptions to boxes of organic vegetables. Each box comes with recipe cards and health tips, and subscribers can add extras such as oyster mushrooms grown by partner producers. The farm uses permaculture structures to harvest food sustainably while preserving bio- and agro-diversity. CATCH stands for Centro de Arte, Tecnologia e Criatividade Humana. It's a small family-run project based in Porto Brandão, Portugal, that works to develop the community and the natural environment through art, education, technology and permaculture. Its core values centre on preserving and honouring the social, ecological and cultural heritage of the local area, and its vision is a harmonious relationship between landscape, animals and people. Alongside food production, CATCH runs permaculture workshops, agroforestry sessions and seasonal harvest celebrations that bring together local families, volunteers and partner organisations. It works closely with community partners such as Lifeshaker and Up Farming, among others, on educational events about urban agriculture, vertical farming, composting and community gardening. Its priorities are preserving biodiversity, developing land sustainably, diversifying fauna and flora, and reviving local cultural heritage through creative initiatives. Away from the farm, CATCH has several ongoing initiatives, including projects on eco-retreats, regenerative community farming, and heritage and animal work such as with the Lusitano horse. The project sees itself as a hub for community-led regeneration, inviting locals and visitors to learn, grow and celebrate together while restoring the region's natural environment.
