Workshops and trainings in Portugal
A weekend with your hands in the work can teach what reading alone cannot. These courses turn ideas into practical skills. The subjects run across everything the site covers: natural building, permaculture design, grafting and pruning, fermentation, beekeeping, forestry, seed saving.
Courses here are usually small, often bilingual, and frequently held on the farm or building site being discussed rather than in a classroom.
This page lists the projects that teach; the dates are on our events calendar, which is where anything with a fixed start shows up. If you want a longer commitment than a weekend, several of these projects also take volunteers or residents. Related focuses: community education, nature-based learning and DIY skills and guides.
