Kidical Mass Seixal, Moita and Barreiro

Outdoor activity

Câmara Municipal Do Seixal · Seixal

The third edition of Kidical Mass Seixal is intermunicipal in character, bringing together the municipalities of Seixal, Barreiro and Moita on a joint bike ride. Let's come together to occupy public space, cycle as a community and show that alternative urban mobility is possible and urgent. Kidical Mass (Children's Critical Mass) is a global movement that takes place all over the country and seeks to respond to, and give visibility to, the need and desire of children and adults to use…

Energy, water and mobility projects in Portugal

This is the infrastructure layer of a sustainable life: where the power comes from, where the water goes, and how you move between the two. In a country with long summers and shortening rivers, water is the question that keeps returning.

Cleanwatts builds solar energy communities, where neighbours share what a roof generates instead of each buying their own system. Alongside it sit off-grid households, rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse and reed-bed purification, and the drought-adaptation work that the Alentejo in particular has been forced into.

Use the focus filter for water conservation, rainwater harvesting, drought resilience, greywater systems, natural water purification, compost toilets, solar power, wind energy, micro-hydro, battery storage, energy efficiency or low-impact travel. If you run a project in this area, we would rather list it than leave a gap. Dated activities from these projects are listed in our events calendar.
