Cristaland Lagos

Cristaland Lagos is a conscious eco-community and event centre in the Algarve, Portugal, built around sustainable living, wellbeing and community. Residents and visitors share the daily work, take part in workshops and events, and live close to nature.

Cristaland Lagos is a non-profit eco-community and event centre in Lagos, Algarve, set in an ancient woodland at Estr. do Paúl. It was founded on sustainability, cooperation, spiritual connection and respect for the natural environment. The community works as a shared living space, where residents are guardians of the land rather than simply its owners. Daily life is collaborative: pruning trees, gardening, cooking wholesome vegan meals, maintaining and building eco-friendly structures, and organising community events. Alcohol and drugs are not part of life here, which is part of the commitment to conscious, intentional living. Guests are also welcome to stay on the land and take part in nature-based and spiritual events. These include Ecstatic Dance, Contact Dance, sunrise yoga sessions and a range of workshops, meant to support connection between mind, body and spirit and a closer relationship with the natural world. As a non-profit association, Cristaland is working towards a sustainable future for the generations to come. It invites people who are ready to take initiative, share skills and live by values of harmony, ecological awareness and mutual support. Residents, volunteers and visiting guests are all welcome to contribute.

Our Goal

Cristaland Lagos wants to build a sustainable, conscious community in the Algarve, where people share responsibilities, support one another and live with respect for the natural environment.

Our Wishes

Cristaland welcomes people who share its values of sustainability, cooperation and conscious living, and who are ready to bring their skills and take on shared responsibility within the community.
