Green Tribe People is a family-owned Portuguese company distributing Effective Microorganisms (EM) products for agriculture, home care, beauty and animal wellbeing. They also run educational workshops to spread knowledge of EM technology across the country.

Based near São Teotónio, Portugal, Green Tribe People is a family-run company dedicated to spreading the use of Effective Microorganisms (EM) — a natural technology that restores microbial balance in soil, water, homes and living beings. Their product range spans multiple areas of daily life: agricultural solutions that regenerate degraded soils and support plant growth through methods like Bokashi composting; eco-friendly cleaning products for home and garden; EM-based cosmetics for skin and hair care; and natural remedies that support animal health and intestinal wellbeing. The company's philosophy centers on the belief that true sustainability begins at the biological level. By nurturing the microbiome in our homes, in nature, and within ourselves, Green Tribe People sees healthy microbial ecosystems as the foundation for a livable planet. Their long-term ambition is to make the food supply chain, and the microbiology of water and soil, more sustainable for future generations. Beyond distributing products, Green Tribe People actively engages with local communities through hands-on workshops, farm visits, school project collaborations and online meetings. They hold regular sessions near São Teotónio and are open to organizing events in towns and villages throughout Portugal upon request. The team has also participated in agricultural innovation fairs, sharing knowledge on Bokashi composting and EM applications, helping embed this natural technology within Portugal's broader sustainable living movement.

Our Goal

Green Tribe People aims to promote sustainable, chemical-free living in Portugal by producing and distributing Effective Microorganisms (EM) products that regenerate soil, water and household ecosystems.

Our Wishes

The project welcomes invitations to run workshops, visit farms, collaborate on school projects, and connect with communities across Portugal interested in learning about EM technology.
