Tribodar is an eco-project and emerging eco-village situated in Nisa, in the Alentejo region of central Portugal. Born from a deep yearning to return to nature and create a sanctuary for healing and creativity, Tribodar is rooted in the twin values of caring for people and caring for the Earth. The project was founded by a family — currently two adults and a child — who left city life behind to grow organic food, reconnect with the natural world, and build a space where others could do the same.
The project offers sustainable accommodation and a flexible retreat space where guests can experience peace, quiet, and the breathtaking landscapes of Alentejo, while reconnecting with themselves and others. Tribodar organises a rich programme of eco-retreats and soul vacations incorporating Kundalini yoga (including online classes), meditation, dance, cacao ceremonies, breathwork, and voice work, guided by Moabi, a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and wellbeing guide with a background in art therapy.
Alongside wellbeing offerings, Tribodar runs workshops and events on natural building, agroforestry, soil regeneration, and organic food growing — practical skills taught by Gennaro, an agroforestry specialist who accompanies projects across Portugal and Italy. Worldpackers volunteers are welcomed to learn and contribute to the land and community.
Tribodar also operates as a Freedom Learning centre, embracing homeschooling and learning in freedom as core values for children and adults alike. The space is available to external groups wishing to host their own conscious gatherings and events. With a long-term vision of expanding into a full eco-village and eventually opening a democratic holistic school for all ages, Tribodar invites potential co-founders and like-minded individuals to become part of a resilient, nature-centred community in Portugal.
Our Goal
Tribodar aims to create a sanctuary in the Alentejo countryside where people can reconnect with nature, heal, and grow — through eco-retreats, holistic wellbeing practices, agroforestry, and community living — while building towards a full eco-village and democratic holistic school.
Our Wishes
Tribodar welcomes volunteers, co-founders, and like-minded individuals who share its values of caring for people and the Earth, as well as groups wishing to host conscious gatherings in the space.
