Vivid Farms is a regenerative agriculture project located in Casével, near Santarém and Golegã, Portugal. Founded by Paulo Carvalho, who also created Vivid Foods, the farm focuses on producing seasonal vegetables and raising animals using regenerative and organically certified methods. Its mission is to promote a conscious, nature-aligned food system that regenerates living soils rich in nutrients and flavour, rather than depleting them through conventional farming practices.
The project positions itself as part of a broader movement seeking systemic change in Portugal's food production model, emphasizing the interconnection between soil health, biodiversity, and community wellbeing. Vivid Farms has partnered with academic institutions, such as the Instituto Politécnico de Santarém (ESASantarém), hosting students for extended learning experiences on regenerative practices, demonstrating a commitment to education and knowledge exchange within the agricultural sector.
With a small, dedicated team of 2 to 10 people, Vivid Farms operates as a hands-on farm business that blends ecological principles with food production, aiming to inspire other farmers and consumers to rethink how food is grown and consumed. The farm's produce is cultivated in living soils without synthetic inputs, reflecting a holistic approach to land stewardship that values long-term ecosystem health over short-term yield. Through its work, Vivid Farms hopes to seed a future where health, flavour, and community are cultivated together as a foundation for a more resilient and regenerative food system in Portugal.
Our Goal
Vivid Farms aims to build a conscious food system in harmony with nature by practicing regenerative agriculture that restores soil health, biodiversity, and community connection to food production.
Our Wishes
The farm welcomes collaborations with educational institutions, researchers, and the community to expand regenerative farming practices and knowledge sharing.
