Animame Algarve is a regenerative project rooted in the Algarve region of southern Portugal, located at Quinta do Rogel in Alcantarilha. Born in 2020 from the desire to restore an abandoned piece of land that once belonged to the founder's grandparents, it has grown into a thriving sanctuary that blends ecological regeneration with personal and community transformation.
At its heart, Animame Algarve is built on three pillars: land, community, and connection. The project embraces sustainable agriculture through agroforestry development and greenhouse construction, alongside holistic wellness practices that include yoga retreats, open-water swim camps, and women's wilderness retreats. Ecological workshops further deepen participants' understanding of and relationship with the natural world.
The team is composed of a group of passionate friends who bring together diverse expertise in women's empowerment, education, sustainable agriculture, and holistic wellness. Guided by core values of respect, loyalty, and collaborative contribution, they strive to create a space where every voice is heard and every person is valued.
Animame Algarve envisions healing as an inside-out process — one that begins with the individual and radiates outward into how we care for the land and each other. Events such as the Women Wilderness Retreat and the Winter Swim Camp offer immersive experiences in the stunning natural landscape of the Algarve, inviting participants to reconnect with themselves and the earth.
